Neons
Neons are a special kind of radioactive animal. The energy attaches the an animal and remains dormant inside. Once the creature dies neon energy fuses with the creature to make the neon sprite. It can manifest a body but can’t keep it stable if hit. Neons can slowly lose energy over time. If this happens they would vanish. But this would take YEARS to happen. Neons gain more energy and power from emotions of other people.
Neons tend to keep there original animal’s form and instincts. We think this is why they stay away and hide from people even though they might gain more energy making a ruckus out in public.
Neons are never out in day because their form dissipate and they are stuck in a inoperative state.
Comic Setting
Neon Glow takes place in a populated city. Features a big park in the center and suburbs out side the city. It’s also on the cost to a lake like Chicago. This is about the infected zone of the neon radiation. I don’t think of the setting based in our world but very alike our world. So history and how things work in Neon Glow may not be the same as the real world.
Comic’s History
Neon Glow was started in 2009. I was in college and wasn’t sure if I could make web comics. A lot of my previous series were really in depth and I had trouble starting them. Neon Glow was originally put together loosely. I had some popular adoptable on a pet site called Squibby. This is where the neons come from. At the time I was really into TV shows like Ghost Hunters so I wanted them to be hunted. I also wanted to make a light boys love comic.
Comic started out on Smack Jeeves. Later I posted on Ink Blazers and it got into promoted comics one month before the site shut down. After that is when I wanted to do the revamps after moving to Tapas and Webtoons. After doing revamps the popularly for the comic went down. A few fans kept encouraging me though. Early 2024 I deiced re-post the comic onto DA and FA to get people back into it. With Patreon help I’m now working off where I left off. About The Artist
Hello! I’m KC. I’ve been doing art sense I was little. Born in the 80’s, raised in the 90’s, that probably explains a lot. I do online freelance art, mostly for furries and fantasy art. I do this full time and enjoy working with people and bringing the art to life. I enjoy JRPG games and Gotcha games. I also collect plushies.
